Peer Sensitivity Training

At The Communication Station, we visit schools and provide sensitivity training to children of all ages and professional staff.

In the school environment, children who learn “differently” are seen as different amongst peers. This “difference” can prevent friendships from forming and interactions with peers from occurring. Providing information to peers, teachers and support personnel who surround your child on a daily basis may need to be “taught” how to interact and respond to your child. Educating those surrounding the child has proven to build friendships and increase in that child’s self esteem within the educational environment.
